Online Learning, Training and CPD  About the Project

Online-learning or elearning uses internet technology to support educational and learning processes.

The online learning project aims to use online learning to support the development of skills within the timber and construction industry. The programme will provide flexible training opportunities to individuals and groups, using the internet to minimise cost and interruptions to businesses.

With this exciting new programme, the online learning project is delivering the technical support, training and education for professionals through electronic means, recognised as vitally important by Woodfocus in their recently published strategy for increasing use of wood in UK construction: Timber in construction 2010.

Part of the programme involves helping to facilitate the development of mentoring, to provide online learners with experienced personnel they can turn to for support and advice. Volunteers for both the learning programmes and mentoring are being sought to take part in the piloting of this programme.

If you want to take part or know of any one in your organisation who will engage with the project please contact Philip Becker on 01494 569 650, or email Stefan Dyke.
